Our Program Works - We are Now Seeing the Results.

We brought the "No Kill Movement" to Pensacola and by implementing a plan that would show results. Through countless hours of research and attending animal conferences, we quickly realized that the only way to lower the intake and euthanasia numbers at our local shelters we needed to stop the problem before it begins.  With this idea and our business background, we have been able to implement and sustain a steady spay and neuter program in our county and show our County Commissioners that by establishing a low income program and to spay/neuter prior to adoption that we could save taxpayers money and lower the intake/euthansia numbers.  As of April of 2011, we have done over 3000 surgeries.

Our Current Program

We are concentrating all of our efforts on our $45.00 FIXX FREE ROMAING CAT PROGRAM. WE ARE NO LONGER CONDUCTING OUR LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAM FOR OWNED CATS OR DOGS. Due to the efforts of Jury-Duty Spay & Neuter, the Escambia County Animal Service now has established a low income spay & neuter program.  If you are a cat or dog owner with limited income and wish to have your pet spayed or neutered, please contact Animal Services at (850) 595-3075.  We also have at our access in the community many wonderful veterinarians, please visit our resource page for their contact information.

If you are a caregiver for a cat colony, please visit our feral cat overview page and complete our feral cat packet, so that we can begin to assist you with the colony. All information given to us remains confidential.   We do require that all information be provided to us, so that we can track our results in the community.

Jury-Duty Spay & Neuter, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization located in Pensacola, Florida established in 2004, our mission is to make spay and neuter surgeries accessible for the lowest income pet owners, and care givers of free roaming cats in Escambia and Santa Rosa County.  The ultimate goal being the end of euthanization of healthy, adoptable animals in our counties.

HELP US STOP THE KILLING OF INNOCENT ANIMALS!

Jury-Duty Spay & Neuter has embraced and brought to Escambia and Santa Rosa County the concept of our counties being part of the "No Kill Movement" and has become the leading force in the preventing of the suffering, neglect, and needless kiklling of literally hundreds of future offpsring from pets and free roaming cats.

We are a non-profit organization in Pensacola, Florida comprised of business professionals and cat and dog lovers, who recognize that there is another alternative to the plan that our community is currently operating under...adopt a few and kill the rest.

Shelters would like for us to believe thatthrough no fault of their own they are merely performing the publics dirty work (euthanizing healthy, adoptable, unwanted pets)---with skill, compassion, and dedication.Nothing could be further from the truth. We assert that a No Kill Community is within our reach---;that the killing can and should be brought to an end.

Join our efforts today through volunteering or sponsoring a surgery for an animal in need in our community. Prevention of births is the only way to stop the deadly cycle of pet overpopulation and the only humane solution.

Our program offers spay and neuter services to feral and free roaming cats. We give the opportunity for responsible people to do the right thing for animals in our community. Over 3000 animals have already been spayed or neutered through our $45 FIXX program since we began and many more are on our waiting list. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO CONTINUE TO SAVE LIVES. Your support will help us to provide the only humane solution to the pet overpopulation problem.

Thanks to people just like you who volunteer their time and donate to our FIXX program, we expect to be able to spay/neuter many more. For additional information about our program, please email us.

"I want to thank you for caring enough to start such a great program;I hope there are more people like you, with hearts tender for animals!"
